Mixing eucalyptus, lavender, chamomile and frankincense essential oils in a carrier oil (like jojoba or almond oil) and applying that to the affected area helps. So do isometric exercises.
For knees, hold you leg out straight on the ground, contract your thigh muscles, hold for 5 seconds and release.
There are a few antibiotics, like levaquin, that have tendon issues as a side effect. I don't know much else, since I'm just using herbs.
