I understand that you only had TSH tested but you mentioned it never being that high. It's because many doctors miss hypothyroidism for years due to "normal" (aka in-range) TSH that I asked about
your previous TSH levels.
You do need *Free* T4 and *Free* T3 testing moving forward if you ever want to optimize your thyroid levels.
Hmmm...my 25mcg levothyroxine (generic Synthroid) tabs are scored and break in half quite easily. Do you have a pill cutter? Pharmacies sell them.
Truly, you need to be doing a LOT more for detoxing....multiple methods that you do daily. It's your only hope of minimizing herxing.
Please take a peek at the following link and find things you can add.....slowly:www.tiredoflyme.com/detox-methods.html
Milk thistle is something that benefits everyone (except those with ragweed allergies) since it helps detox the liver.
Perhaps you might consider a binder such as activated charcoal. I regretted not starting one sooner.
Burbur and Pinella are excellent - I still take 10 drops each 3x daily.
And, I used to take Alka Seltzer Gold twice daily. I still take 1200mg Quercetin daily.
Red Root is great for clearing the lymph system. Perhaps you could use a washcloth instead of a brush to get started with manual movement of lymph? A cold rinse at the end of your bath/shower could also help.
These things worked for me....maybe you'll try to see if they'll help you or find other things that appeal to you.
