I don't think anyone is "supposed" to feel worse with any treatment for these infections although a larger number do because of herxing.
Girlie explained why some meds are pulsed.
And, it certainly sounds like you are herxing. Did you increase your detox before starting this regimen? That's always a good idea.
I'm glad the Alka Seltzer Gold helped. I used to take it for herxes but, after reading on here that others took it regularly for detox, I started taking it twice daily and that made quite the difference....in addition to the other detoxing methods I used/use.
Treating Babesia often translates into the need for a lot more detox. Babesia parasites are bigger than Lyme bacteria. Therefore, herxes can be more "dramatic" due to bigger bug parts creating larger amounts of toxins when they die.
Please consider adding a few things (slowly) to your detoxing protocol. Hopefully, you are using multiple methods....daily. A comprehensive detoxing protocol is your best bet at minimizing herxes....and allowing healing to happen.
Too much herxing delays healing because of all the inflammation it causes.
Maybe you can add a few new detoxing methods described here:www.tiredoflyme.com/detox-methods.html
Hope you feel better soon!
