Congratulations, Kathie! Although I have to admit I'm not sure why you would need a second test. They are both testing the same things. The ELISA is actually fairly difficult to get a positive result from because it only catches about
30% of those the have the one strain that is being tested for.
Is your doctor pushing for this, or your insurance? A good LLMD won't require a positive test because they realize that these test are only looking for one out of over one hundred strains that can cause human illness. They also realize that these tests are only looking for antibodies - and the immune system may not be able to make those antibodies.
It's hard to know who a person will test as the are simply too many factors to consider. But I wish you luck!
