Yes. Niacin can cause a rash-like flushing that really burns. I tried it once before an hour long power-walk and will not do that again. My skin (especially my face) was beet red and became quite sensitive. I only used 250mg and it took a couple of hours to resolve.
I can only imagine how terrible it was in a hot shower!
