Anyone have an opinion on which to take?

My llmd gave me between these two as a choice for anti viral. Any reason to pick one over the other?

Thanks

Here's some info on L-lysine (I keep it on hand in the event I develop a virus- especially shingles):

umm.edu/health/medical/altmed/supplement/lysine

I never heard of NM dimethyglycine before (but I do take glycine for reasons other than anti-viral) and found this:

www.needs.com/product/NDNL-0605-01/l_DMG_Dimethylglycine

It seems like you get more bang for the buck with choice #2

I had not heard of dimethylglycine either. Seems there are a lot of mixed reviews about how it works and how well it works. The one thing that I did see though is that it works on the methylation pathway - so it works differently than the Lysine.

Thanks for bringing this up!! I am headed to the health food store in a bit and will be looking to see if they have any of this!

Sure! I guess I'll look into dimethyglycine for now.

Both are amino acids and for me??? I just have a nice filet mignon once in awhile. LOL!! Sorry, that id my humor showing again.

I think if you were asked to take one for anti-viral I would first ask the doc what virus he was treating. And of the two, I think l-lysine is more anti-viral.

Just my opinion, I'm not a doc.

Well I tested positive for some random stuff, I'd need to look through my tests but the anti viral is to be taken a couple days after starting and anti fungal and lyme antibiotics.
