I used a practitioner that had never knowingly treated a Lyme patient before, and then I've healed from Lyme completely on my own and am now attempting (LOL!) to heal Bart and Babs without a doctor. So I too believe it can be done, especially since I didn't have books to help me!
I agree that anything invasive, even dental work, isn't a good idea at this point unless it's unavoidable. Your body has been through so much with the surgery and having Lyme. Also, do watch that the physical therapy doesn't start working against your healing. Sounds odd, but you are in the early stages and it could just put too much stress on your body at this point. When you do go, make sure to get exercises and stretches taught to you from the first visit on so you can do them at home - hopefully all for later, but also in case you can only do a few sessions of PT. I tried PT several times and each time I could only do about
5 or 6 appts before it was too much for my body. Just a head's up for you, although I surely hope it doesn't happen.
