A reminder of how precious life is...something I need to remember. Stephen Buhner says Lyme is our teacher.

Thanks for sharing.
We take our health for granted until we don't get sick. It is in human's nature.
I think that even when we explain this to healthy persons, but they cannot understand it quite well. I know that I couldn't think in these terms before I got Lyme.
Life is precious and we must fight no matter how hard it is. We are not alone, each one of us have somebody close who wishes that we are happy and will help us on the long way of beating Lyme.

I agree that most don't think twice about their health, what they eat, or if they have any organs that are needing attention (support or detox). I just had this conversation with my step-daughter. Amazing too, since she has a son with a life threatening peanut allergy, severe eczema, and many other serious (but not life threatening) allergies. The whole family would be healthier if they understood what I do about body functions and needs. But she has not personally had to deal with serious health issues.

I have learned a lot about not only my body, and myself, but my part in life as well. Not an easy thing to get through, but grab all the positive you can from every situation is what I learned most.

Agreed...The part about self love really resonated. I haven't done that most of my life...I'm only learning to do so now. Learning to say no, take care of myself, figure out what I want/love to do...finding the courage to change those behaviors that don't benefit me. That's my part. You're right, Traveler...not easy.

I didn't understand this before I got Lyme either, blueberrymuffin.
