So background information on this I am currently in treatment for lyme's, bart, and erlichia. I have not had any positive tests but was diagnosed clinically and will retest in a month after the first 2 months of my treatment are over to see if I can get a positive test. After my bout of sickness it got me to wonder about
my kids. All 4 have had weird symptoms over the last few years however my three girls have had the most issues so we had them tested with the western blot (not igenex due to money constraints). I will list them here and see what you guys think, positive or not.
My oldest for the last year has had ongoing shooting ear pains and headaches which have increased over time. She has had multiple diagnosis of ear infections which have been treated and just come back after treatment. She was positive on band 66.
My next oldest has had issues with sore throats with no known cause and also headaches of varying intensity for a couple of years. She had her tonsils out as a child but still has sore throat issues and also ear pains often along with headaches. She was positive on bands 41 and 93.
My youngest daughter is difficult to read as she has downs syndrome and is always happy go lucky. However 2 years ago she started having bad foot pain that was made worse with walking on it and after xray they found nothing however they said it was just growing pains. than she started have throat pains again after having tonsils out continued to get throat pains. and constant ear infections. at one point she was put on a 20 day course of amoxicillin and at day 18 she got another ear infection while still on antibiotics. She was positive on just band 41.
I am not sure what to do as insurance wont pay for me to go see a llmd to get an eval and I don't have 600 dollars to do western blots on everyone especially since I am still in treatment myself but obviously if I think they have it we will pursue it. Is it possible that this may be some other bands that are reacting or are these lyme's specific?
Thanks for any input that you can give,
