I don't know what it's from, but I've been having the hardest time putting on weight. I can't say I've been herxing that much, but I'm not sure.
I'd like to think I have a pretty good idea of what all of my herx symptoms are, as opposed to symptoms just from the presence of the infections, but I suppose there could be some that I'm missing.
There's also the matter of absorption due to a comprised GI system, which I've been working on (liquid diet, various supplements suggested by Pirouette, etc). Plus, I think fats (oils) in bulk might be hard for a person to digest completely.
I've considered thyroid issues, but, while I don't know for sure, I do not think that this is the case. Though, for the sake of knowing, is it possible to have problems in that department without noticing much in regards to adrenal function? I can sleep alright most of the time. (Though, I actually started some LDN recently, and that has been messing with my sleep, as is a common response, I think - I got 2 hours yesterday, and wasn't even tired until like 2 in the morning - I got like 6 hours of sleep after that tho).
I've been wondering about parasites as well, maybe eating up my foodies, but trying not to pay that too much mind, because I kind of have too many things to focus on as it is.
I may be underestimating just how many calories I burn at work as well. There's nothing extremely taxing about the job physically, but I'm always in some sort of motion.
But, yeah, I've been playing with my intake for the past couple months. 1,900 calories, 2,200 calories, 2,500 calories. Now, I'm just saying screw it, and hitting around 3,000.
I just wanna see if it is even possible for me to put on a couple pounds in a week or something.
Anyway, sorry if I kind of digressed.. you're wondering if weight loss is a good thing..
I'm kind of just talking about my struggles with weight in general. lol
Just wondering if you're taking digestive enzymes? Sometimes it can help. It can take a really long time to heal the gut. And the fact that we still have a high viral/bacterial load doesn't help.
Yes, parasites could also be at play here. My doctor told me that they typically join the party. Are any of the supplements/herbs you are taking able to work on the parasites? I asked my doctor if I needed something separate and he told me to just continue with the colloidal silver. Though he upped my dosage.
Yes you can have thyroid and/or adrenal issues and not know it given that Lyme and co's can mirror the symptoms. Have you tested either lately? If you haven't, may not be a bad idea. Then you could at least cross those off your list. If you decide to do the adrenal testing, please do a saliva test. It should also be a 24-hour test with collection windows throughout the day (4-5) that you would provide the sample.
As far as the LDN sounds like you are taking it at night. Have you tried taking it during day? Some LDN users have tried varying times during the day in order to sleep more soundly at night. You could continue to take in the evenings and see if that early side effect wears off.
