Hi all,

I've been getting some pretty bad burning joint pain and psoriasis lately, I notice it particularly after I take buhner's herbs. I'm concerned because I read somewhere that if you have an autoimmune disease that taking buhner's herbs can exacerbate the autoimmune disease because they're all immune boosting herbs. While I haven't been formally diagnosed, my father has psoriatic arthritis and I'm worried that I may have it now too and am making it worse with buhner's herbs. Any thoughts?

I developed psoriasis (2 types, plaque & pustular) during treatments in 2010, but mine is pretty easy to control now. I found out that there is a direct link from the gut function to psoriasis, so I went looking for a probiotic that might be of help and found this:

Since that time, I've use B. infantis every time I have a flare up along with coconut oil both externally and internally and have maintained good control over the psoriasis.

What immune boosting herbs are you using? You may want to lower your dosage and see if that helps. This is all about balance in the body, and some of us have to have a very careful balance.

If it makes you feel better, my psoriasis is almost gone. I had a reaction to some shavng cream on my chin - It brought out psoriasis for 5 months! I had to go with the "didnt shave for 5 days" look all that time. Used aveno psoriasis lotion on it.

Immune boosting or not to - this has always been confusing.

The only way you'll know is to stop those herbs one at a time......? Maybe its not all of them doing this is any are doing it.

Lot of people get joint pain from herxing too.

Hi Dazed Pete1, just wondering if you ever found a LLMD to treat MCAD. Would love to hear from you.

Hello everyone. I am still fighting psoriasis. It depends on each individual but I had light therapy treatment and it worked for some time at least. You must understand - you will never get rid of it completely. But I believe in medicine and in nature as well. Herbs might actually be helpful and bring relief if used wisely. But I dont believe immune boosting herbs will not cure psoriasis completely but they will help. Take care smile
