The bulls eye rash is completely confirmatory of Lyme - no other testing or documentation is needed:

Doxy is well known for causing some to sun burn quickly and badly, so please do be aware of this.
And yes, I'm one that had neuropathy and it has healed. I could hold my hands in 170 degree water while it was running and never feel the heat, same with hot pans and I would do things like sew the skin of my fingers on to the back of my project and never know it until I tried to move the project or saw the blood.
