So sorry to hear about
your wife's diagnosis!! I think you know we feared this based upon the cyclical nature of the tingling/numbness and were glad you had Lyme on your radar. Still.... :(
Your wife's IGeneX results shows she reacted on 3 Lyme-specific bands: 23-25, 39 and 83
Here's some info:lymetwistontherocks.blogspot.com/2011/01/western-blots-what-do-all-of-those-darn.html
I'm sure you know that IGeneX is able to test for only 2 out of the 100 strains of Lyme known to cause human illness. The fact that she tested positive on 3 Lyme-specific bands should leave no doubts in light of this.
If you think your wife truly contracted Lyme sexually, please always be on the alert
for symptoms of the other infections you have.
I remember Dr. Horowitz mentioning that Bartonella should be considered if neurological (CNS and PNS) symptoms are predominant.
A great start for herbals is Japanese Knotweed. JK crosses the blood brain barrier, clears neurotoxins and is a potent anti-inflammatory (among many, many other benefits).
You know we preach the low and slow method with any herb and JK is no exception.
Cat's Claw is another mainstay in the Buhner Lyme protocol as is Eleuthero.
Lion's Mane is excellent for neuro issues as is Kudzu.
Woodland Essence and Sage Woman Herbs are a couple of Buhner's recommended sources with Sage Woman usually being a bit less expensive/quicker to ship.
As you know, I've grown to appreciate Buhner's work because each of us is able to craft our own personal protocol based upon the infections we have and our symptoms. The best part is that 95% of the people who follow his protocols find healing.
Please let us know if your wife develops any other symptoms and I'll share what I know about
which herbs might help.
In the meantime, I highly suggest that you both read some, if not all, of Buhner's latest works:tinyurl.com/buhnerlymetinyurl.com/buhnerbabstinyurl.com/buhnerbartmyco
He provides extensive explanations of the infection and disease process that provide the reader an understanding of what needs to happen for healing. We all know it's not just about
Best wishes to you both moving forward!!!
