Abx are like the 'big guns' of treatment, but there still has to be a lot of supportive care done, which is what most people/doctors miss.
Most herbal treatments aren't as hard on the bacteria/protozoa, but help the body deal with the effects (inflammation, etc.) while more slowly attacking the bacteria/protozoa. It's more of a "sneak attack" - as Artermix was describing.
[quote=Huddie] Do you take the oil of oregano after the abx are finished? I have Young Living oil of oregano - will a few drops in water help? I also like to drink ACV in hot water with a little cayenne but haven't done that since lyme. I would still encourage you to use the capsules - they are much easier on the digestive tract for almost all that use them. Should you choose to use the straight oil, it needs to combined with another oil to take it, as oil and water don't mix. Coconut oil is the best tasting oil for this, if you ask me - but still be sure to stir it well before taking it.
When it's taken in water, you will get these "globs" of oil that will still stick to the surface of the skin in the mouth, tongue, throat and stomach and you can feel an intense burning effect - believe me! I started using oil of oregano before they had capsules!! Quite the eye popping experience for me.
By the way, it burns like crazy on an
open wound too - so don't use it on broken skin or a rash!!
