I've used oregano oil (full strength) directly on an
open lesion before, and let me tell you, if it's full strength, it will feel like a severe burn from the stove.
I had an old barn cat that came to live inside with me a few years ago. She was a doll, but she had Bartonella (didn't know that at the time), so when she scratched me or bit me (in play) I would always end up with that area infected. I learned to quickly use peroxide and the triple abx ointment that is available over the counter and a bandaid for no less than 3 days. I'm sure it still added to my Bart load, but at least I didn't have a skin infection going on at the same time.
Psil, are you able to take anything to raise your immune function? That's where I'd head if I couldn't take anything to kill Bart. At least it would help.
