Welcome to our community, Naomi!

I suggest your change your title to the thread to "Anyone been to Hansa Center?"

We have had some members go.

Have you already been diagnosed with Lyme disease?

We suggest all new members take a look through the thread at the top of the page titled: "New to Lyme?..Start Here!" It's packed full of useful information.

You can use the search function (blue bar upper right) - and type in: Lyme: Hansa Center.

Yes only recently diagnoed with Lyme. Became very ill this past January with upper respiratory virus. I never recovered from the effects of that. I perhaps was infected in summer of 2015 as I recall feeling more tired than usual but did not lose my energy overall.

Welcome Mamie!

I changed the title of your thread since you are looking for information about the Hansa Center and in the hopes the new title will attract the attention of the members who either went there or followed Dr. Jernigan's protocol as outlined in his book.

Those particular members don't post on here regularly and threads indicating the need for info on the Hansa Center will attract their attention if they happen to stop by.

If you don't get any responses, you might want to read the following threads that I found by using the forum search feature:

tinyurl.com/HWHansa
Jul '14 tick bite - inadequate abx from PCP
Sept '14 met LLMD - clinical Lyme dx due to Bells Palsy/started abx (CDC positive IgM)
Feb '15 weaned off abx and started full Cowden protocol along w/LDN - 90% healed
Aug '15 started transition to Buhner's Lyme, Babesia & Bartonella protocols
Nov '15 stopped LDN - 98% healed
Aug '16 started modified Buhner Lyme/Bart protocol - 99% healed!

Me again

HeathersDad took his daughter to the Hansa Center and she healed from Lyme and Co's. He shared much of their story in a recent thread that I link for you here:

Hi Naomi,

Welcome. I was coming on to post the VERY same question. Heather's dad got me thinking about it. I have Lyme but thinking of Hansa for my son. I want to expedite his healing because he isn't growing and has a very limited window of time left.

Would love to hear from others about Hansa. It's in Kansas? I thought it was in Arizona for some reason. I'm going to call them later.

My son seems to have the upper respiratory tract virus right now. Feel better!

Huddie,

Hansa is in Kansas...Wichita.  It is expensive but what price on health?  I have been put in touch with 3 women who went there and got to speak with one.  It took her a year and a half since she went undiagnosed for 10 months and for a period of time took antibiotics that didn't help. Also got to talk with the mom of a little girl that my daughter-in-law referred me to.  The little girl was well in 10 months from the Hansa protocol.  It seems that it is an amazing place.  They work to set the body free of inbalances so that it heals itself.  Go to Hansacenter.com.

I wish we could sleep there but you have to get your own accomodations.  Most stay at hotel suites.  I have senitivities to fragrances, etc. and found a house that was renovated for people like me.  I will stay there in one of the 4 rooms.  Hansa has a policy of NO FRAGRANT products.  They ask people to leave if they show up with them.  It is not hard to stop using those things with safe detergents and personal products at health food stores.  I will go for 2 weeks.

Naomi,

Is this your first time going? I will look into it for Spring break. Sorry son no diving, no beach - healing in Kansas. LOL! I have always had a chemical allergy since I was a child. Not quite an allergy I have the senses of a dog so everything is overpowering. I can deal with light perfume but cannot deal with toxic cleansers. I have my private email listed in my profile if you care to share the place you stay at. How far is it from the center? When do you go? Excited for you.

Yes this will be my first time.  I got sick thi past January and only tested positive for 3 co-infections on Oct. 17 of this year.  I have no idea when I was infected.  I was high energy up until this past winter, although I had period of feeling more tired than usual in summer of 2015, neck hurt and ears filled up.  I just thought I was allergic to coffee and/or wine.  Nothing slowed me down until after getting the virus, on a plane I presume, end of January.  Going to email you now.

Naomi,

I took my daughter there in 2010 for 2 weeks. She is well today.

Their approach is very different from all of the others. They do not view the presence of a pathogen as the main factor in the illness. They view weaknesses in the body as the main factor for illness. Their first diagnostic inquiry is, why did this patient get sick? Then they test accordingly. The main goal of their treatments is to restore the functional integrity of the body.

They do a lot of detoxing. They offer nutritional and lifestyle advice. They sometimes will use antimicrobial herbs to directly go after the pathogens. In my view, the most important thing that they do is to use bioenergetic treatments to restore optimum energy flows in the areas of the body that have been shut down to only a 40% energy level. They use non-invasive, non-toxic methods and materials.

The clinic atmosphere is very peaceful and positive. The staff is very caring and seems to genuinely enjoy that they are helping people. The physicians are very well trained and think way outside of the box.

I will say one bold thing right here right now. While they are not able to heal everyone, they are able to heal most people. That is saying a lot when you consider that their average patient has been sick for a long time, and has tried various other treatment approaches.

I will keep this post short, but there is so much more to be told. I would be happy to correspond privately if you would desire to do so.

Naomi- You made a good decision!!!

Don

I am currently not feeling great (breathing issue) so it may not be the best time for me to share my hansa center experiences. but other than this breathing thing ( since three weeks) I have been feeling great after going to HAnsa. It is an amazing place in every way and I 100% recommend it. they saved me so much form really bad lyme.
I may or may not be having some resurgence of lyme right now ( just the breathing stuff, trying to figre out if it is babesia or not) but even if it is, I feel confident that the mediciness my hansa doctor will give me will help/
I think they are by far the best place to treat lyme and a lot of other things too. I have been there 4 times. Some times it takes a few visits. IT is costly.
They are so wonderful there. My doctor there is absolutely amazing. I know tons of people who have gone there ( we have a facebook page for hansa patients) and they have all gotten tons of help.they have gotten people out of wheelchairs and other things that no one else could cure. Best place ever. If I could afford it I would go every 6 months for a check up and just to brush up on health. It does cost a lot but even one visit is worth it and will help a lot.

Thank you Katebirch.  How long did it take you to get well, and had you had Lyme for very long?

I had it for about a year or so, did lots of antibiootics that for me made it worse, started feeling improvements after my first two week Hansa visit, and felt much better after about 6 months. Did a couple of follow up visits, felt all the way better maybe within 9 months.

Katebirch, that's very encouraging. I read in Dr. J's recent book that the older body may take longer. I'm 74 and was very energetic and active. I don't believe I had this until summer of 2015, and even then I wasn't sick, just a day now and then of being more tired than usual, ears filling up and some neck discomfort. It all broke lose end of January with a virus.
