I've had serious adrenal issues in the last 2 or 3 years. The doc that finally diagnosed me and helped get treatments started told me I was one step away from Addison's - which is where the adrenal glands completely shut down. It's been a long and hard struggle to get healing for my adrenals while I'm battling these infections.
I would suggest that you be sure to see a GOOD adrenal doctor - many think they know about
adrenal health, but will just tell you that the adrenals are fine without even running a good test. The only test that will show how well the adrenals are doing throughout the day is a 4 point saliva test, where the saliva is collected 4 times in one day. If you can't get a doctor to order this test for you, there is a site that you can order it yourself. Just ask if you need it!
Also, do be sure to get thoroughly tested for mold exposure, as this will reek havoc on the body as well.
Adrenal symptoms are like Lyme symptoms - there's a very long list and they are "common". Fatigue, low energy, weight gain (once you reach a certain level of depletion) and more.
One of the best sites I've found for information on adrenal issues has been Dr. Lam's site, but there's a ton of it and it does get a bit complex at times. LOL!
