Just a guess it was likely amoxicillan for kids ...which yes would have been totally insuffiecient ..whats the relevance
It wasn't amoxi-- it wasn't bright pink or bubble gum flavored (and amoxi needs to be refrigerated). I was 15 when prescribed it but couldn't yet swallow pills so I was given a liquid. I was just curious as to which antibiotic I may have had when I first got sick with Lyme. I haven't taken many antibiotics in my adult life....I had a round of something that made you sensitive to light in 1989/1990 for bronchitis/laryngitis/pharyngitis and I had a round of cephalexin around 1995/96 (can't remember what for, but most likely another URI) but nothing else except a few, single rocephin shots for UTIs and an abscessed tooth in the past 10 years. I did take one cephalexin pill in 2000 and it made me so nauseated I have never touched another oral antibiotics since (hence my rocephin shots because I refused oral antibiotics).
