Been thinking about
you! We go to Dr. J's clinic as you know so feel free to ask any questions. His pediatric person is leaving soon
but our next appt is with a long-time NP there and knowing what the follow-up treatments are, I feel fine with it. They are training a new person to take on the ped cases and we will meet that person in April if they are there and can drop by and say hi. The treatment is antibiotics so if you are still leaning away from that I would go elsewhere. They do have a lot of non abx tricks to use/supplements they encourage, probiotics etc and we also add in our own herbs. There have been very few that they said they prefer us not to use - because they saw too much herxing and not enough healing with patients doing that - I discovered that using certain herbs that attack the infection DS was being treated for was just too much for his body! So I mostly use detoxing herbs for him now. We will add in the infection killers as he moves off of abx.
Dr. J has always been in when we've gone and our LLNP always consulted with him so that is a plus.
The other person you could consider is the pediatric Dr. J up in CT which is closer to you but it is also abx. Also, you could get in and out from where you are to DC on the same day if need be to save costs and you can do video calls after a few visits if you need. Costs drop quite a bit after the first appt.
Good luck with your decision - it's so hard to know which direction to go. We let DS help with the decision but Hansa wasn't known to us at the time.
Let me know if you have any other questions. It's a long haul no matter who you choose.
