From my understanding, nerve issues can be from either Lyme or Bartonella. Lyme can destroy the myelin sheath (protective covering of the nerve for those that don't know) and infect the nervous system causing dysfunction. Bartonella can infect the nervous system and cause dysfunction. For the person with severe Neuro issues, it's often caused by Neuro Lyme and Bartonella.
That's another reason that I like the idea of using mushrooms. I won't risk picking up another infection from it. I was kind of skeptical of Lion's mane, even though I did the research and suggested it to others - based on the research I had done on it. But, my case is different at times, because I had been infected for so long before finally getting my diagnosis - then healing and getting reinfected. So I didn't know if it would work for me or not - but it did! I was really surprised with how well it worked for me too.
I do still get "shorter" periods of tinnitus and my nerve pain is still there in many areas, but the intensity is down (in all but one spot - my heel) and the tinnitus is lowered considerably in severity and in frequency - so I'm pretty happy with my results so far! I've only been using it for about
8 or 9 weeks now (I keep loosing track. LOL!)
