Ho Girlie how are you?thats great you've went from 40to 10 syptoms I have doxy I bought online Have not used it yet As I then read it only kills spiro shape lyme not the other forms
However going to add it in now As only other abx I get is 7 days a month flagl
if 1 weeks out a month You take 3 days flagl another week 4 days flagl
Would I just take doxy the days I'm not on flagl? If so I have 100mg pills
How many a day?
Hi Elaine - I've been thinking about
you.. wondering how you're doing.
No - you would take the doxy with the Flagyl.
But, I remember you were having a difficult time.. with some severe symptoms. (Hope that's okay to say on here)
So. I think you should start on very low dose.
I suggest you start doxy first and do 100 mg a day for a week. Take it with food - but not dairy. It can be hard on the stomach. Drink a full glass of water when you take it. Make sure you are detoxing and have a good regimen in place before you start.
After a week, if you're not herxing badly, then increase to 100 mg twice daily.
Give that a couple weeks before going to 300 mg a day. 200 in a.m 100 p.m
Then increase to 200 mg twice daily a few weeks later.
Hold that for a month and then add the Flagyl.
I would take the Flagyl two days per week (and since you only have 7 . Then the fourth week just add Flagyl for one day. Although you are staring the Flagyl after a month so you should have some extra Flagyl - to take two on the fourth week.
Don't stop the doxy on the days you take Flagyl.
If at any time you herx - you can back down on your dose but continue to detox...and then raise the dose again once herx subsides.
This is how I would do it if I were you - knowing a bit of your history.
