What is the natural treatment for high chlostridia? We just discovered from an Oat test that my hphpa levels are pretty high. My llmd thinks that plays a part in my slow recovery. She doesn't want to do antibiotics as I do not tolerate them well. One of the natural remedies she wants me to try is Culterelle Lactobacillus gg. I looked at the ingredients an they do not state this product is allergen free and I fear i will not be able to handle the ingredients. It just seems like a cheap product. Just wonder what others have tried. Thanks!

Oh I am so very sorry you have this. C Diff is difficult. I know your doctor is trying to heal you and I don't know the ingredients of the Culterelle brand.

I do know that probiotics are super important for this problem. You don't have any good bacteria in your gastrointestinal tract.

I think she is being cautious in only having you take an over the counter product. I do not think it will hurt you.

If it were me, I would add in some fermented foods during the day. Not whole bowls full, but maybe just a teaspoon here and there of kimchi, kombucha, sauerkraut or a pickle.

I don't know how bad your c. diff is or how life threatening it is. I have a long time friend that is really bad off. She is now contemplating fecal transplants.

Here is what my buddy Dr. Axe says. I rely on him a lot......

And I have to ask about the spelling. I tried to look it up to see if I could be of any help, but the spelling may be off. If it's clostridia instead, that's C.Diff.

I did find this on treating C. Diff with probiotics, it might give you a place to start:

I did spell incorrectly. Its clostridia. My C.Diff numbers were ok, however my hphpa numbers and another bacteria were high. My llmd says its in the same family as c.diff. and treated with abx typically. I know very little about it, but we are hopeful this is what is blocking my recovety. My candida levels are surprisingly low.
