Hi Alunke,
Are you taking the 100 mgs regularly? Or is this an on again off again dosing right now?

Either way, you likely have a high bacterial load, as most do in the early stages of treatments, so even small doses can really create large herxes. I would agree with ChickNorris that this is most likely a herx. The light sensitivity can be part of a herx as well. I get it because of the effects of Bartonella on my eyes.

Take a good hard look at your detoxing and seek out suggestions to help you get past this!
Hugs!!!

Have you added in any more detox methods?

Not all of them all at once. But you should be adding.

I know that over and over again and again we talk about detoxing. I bet it gets tiring to hear.

Honestly it relieves so many aches and pains.

Once you start detoxing on a daily basis, it just becomes a part of your life and you don't even see it as a "chore."

It can take some experimenting to find the detox method that helps you personally the most. The two that have helped me the most is activated charcoal and infrared sauna. I do other things too because they are easy, lemon water, Epsom salts, ect. But notice the most difference with the first two I mentioned.
Are you on any good probiotics?

Diverticulitis is horribly painful. I know first hand.

You need to drink some bone broth, if that is what it is and take it easy eating much food until it calms down.

But, what if it is appendicitis? Have you seen a doctor?

I haven't read the other responses (sorry, trying to catch up on housework and yard work) - but, I have been diagnosed with severe diverticulosis (was told to never push during bowel movements or allow myself to get constipated, as I could easily burst one of the many diverticuli that I have), as well as pseudo blockages (from the muscles in the intestines being cramped too hard for too long), leaky gut, and some lovely food allergies. All of this has been because of what these infections have done to my body.

So, you need to keep your bowels moving daily, use a very high quality probiotic, and detox more.

Try slowly adding in dry skin brushing, lymph massages, milk thistle, Apple cider vinegar (although if you have yeast issues, this can cause die off as well, so do be careful), and Alpha Lipoic acid. Just be sure to add only one in a week, and go low and slow with them each.

Be sure that you are moving your bowels a minimum of once a day, so that the toxins aren't reabsorbed back into the blood stream through the intestinal walls.

This is a slow process, so stick with it. The more toxins you have in your body, the longer it will take before you 'feel' it helping.

Most definitely it's nice to have those that have been through this to listen, care and be of help!!! That's how many of us get through treatments!! Hang in there, Alunke!
