So I went to the hosptial's Radiology Department for a few x-rays of my chest, elbows and knees, which I complained to my GP previously. I am a bit worried about
the amount of radiation, as I have also done a few x-rays as well as a CT scan of my heart these few months (another lyme manifestation, but in my heart). The radiologist told me not to worry with the amount of radiation being safe to human body.
After doing the x-ray, I had a sensation that my body is like heated up, and I sweat a little bit. Weirdly for the day, the tongue coating which my TCM practitioner previously diagnosed as "dampness heat", and has become increasingly thick and yellow (and even a little bit black) in these few months, has become clear once again (which is usually a healthy sign). Now my joints still pop occasionally, but overall the symptoms seem to have lessened.
I wonder, does the radiation do any effect on Borrelia and the other coinfections? Would it make them stronger, or weaker? I managed to find a study regarding the use of UV radiation on Borrelia-infected mice, and that their arthritis symptoms have worsened upon the irradiation two weeks after. I am kinda worried even though there is little I can do now regarding the radiation. Anyone has experiences of radiation and subsequent changes with Lyme (and other coinfections)?
