I was first diagnosed with Lyme/Bart/Bab in 2003, responded well to treatment but have been sick on and off since. Recently moved and started seeing a new LLMD. My blood work just came back, I'm positive again for Lyme and Bab and my hs-CRP is a 9.7 (apparently anything at or above a 3 is dangerous / high risk).

I don't ever remember being tested for this before, or if I was it was normal.

My diet isn't great but it's not that bad. I imagine there is a correlation to the Lyme but can't find anything online.

Has anyone else had similar results? Know anything, have any advice?

That was one of the tests my GP had me do - when she was checking me for autoimmune diseases and anything else that could be wrong with me.

High number means inflammation.

I'm surprised mine wasn't high - I can see why it would be with lyme. My body certainly seems to have high inflammation. pain/burning/etc.

I think the best thing is to start treating...and see if you can get the inflammation down.

Do you have high pain levels?

Mine was very high. In the 20s. Treated for Bart and it's down to 6. It's inflammation like Girlie said and when you start treatment it will get better.
