Ah yes....so your leading toward diabetes?
I was too and my thyroid endo had zero help, just said it looks like its going to happen and autoimmune thyroid is not helping the diabetes thing. It this case BS means blood sugar too.
I studied it and fixed it. Had glucose of 87 this morning which is pretty normal for me now - I take NOTHING for it.
There are a few posts here in the past on this subject, but its been at least 2 years. Chronic lyme as we know can mess up everything. Including blood sugar. I was never overweight, and still exercised with lyme pain and my BS still kept rising. Note:I didnt eat that bad but not super clean either.
Stress is a killer. Adrenal stress that is. Once I started treating adrenals during lyme treatment (I mainly used holy basil) is when my BS improved. When I stopped Holy Basil, BS went up again. I kept on doing this and home tested BS with a cheap meter ($25 for 50 tests).
In post abx lyme recovery (had lyme 2= decades) my BS would still be slightly elevated. So I did more adrenal support and noticed improved BS. Worked on stress reduction. I dont give a #uck anymore - that part of stress reduction.
one year ago- **Adrenals improved and dont overreact on instant stressors like before - didnt need to treat adrenals anylonger and BS is normal under 95 regularly as opposed to three digits. Still didnt eat clean or exercise much.
Now- I eat very clean and exercise a lot more, BS is still good but didnt improve any more.**Moral of the story in my case was high BS (blood sugar) was mainly from lyme induced adrenal issues.**
Note: I dont do daily adrenal support anymore, only as needed during overly stressed events. I will always keep a bottle of holy basil capules around for stressfull times.
