Hey Everyone

Its been awhile and I'm back with some questions.

Just for some old background, I finished up my 8 weeks of abx's in mid-July (combo of Ceftin and Doxy). Felt good at the end of treatment and still feel very well.

My 1st noticeable symptom after I was infected was tremors in both my hands (a little more dominant in my left hand). My tremors were there at the end of treatment but significantly improved. However, they are still with me. Better, but still noticeable. Much more noticeable at work while I am typing and caffeine does seem to increase them.

Here's the question, after treatment can symptoms still linger? In this case, is it damage to my nerves that will heal in time? I do find myself watching others and saying to myself, well there hands shake too so it must just me a natural part of life. But they showed up right after the infection and I have a tough time just accepting it (the whole cause and effect scenario)

As always, I appreciate your insight

That is the question - is what's leftover damage and healing time needed?

When it comes to nerves that could be the case since they take a looonnnng time to heal.

Having said that - for me the tremors subsided early on....so I'd be cautious if I were you - and keep an eye on things.

Once your other symptoms were gone..did you treat for another 4 weeks? That is what's recommended.

I was able to do 2 more weeks and then developed a nasty case of thrush plus my stomach was done.

Work on healing your tummy...then if you get worse in any way...reoccurence of your symptoms...you can jump back on the abx for a few weeks.

Thanks again Girlie

My antenna's are always up. Kind of annoying actually. Most of the time its hard to determine if its a symptom or just my body's natural response to something like over-exercising.

Does the feeling of "is the lyme active again" ever go away?

Mike,

Toxic mold exposure can also cause tremors. Check your environment at home and workplace. Make sure you're not being exposed to indoor mold.

Well, I don't know about you...but I've never had tremors from over-exercising. Actually have never had tremors prior to lyme.

yes, I believe that feeling goes away. I know several people who have healed in my general location and they have pretty much put it behind them...except for one who is an advocate now. But, she is happy, living life...

I know what you mean...I feel like I've got PTSD from this sh-t.

I had tremors bad. It also increased when candida was bad.

Thrush = candida= increased tremors

Tremors are now a lot better but traces are still there at times.
