no but i think yout llmd is wise.

doxy+ceftin+dapto is one of the combos that achieved in vitro sterilization.

So do you think doxy and Ceftin is a better choice (without the Daptomycin) than doxy plus azithromycin?

I don't have a LLMD.

I have a LLND, but this isn't his idea. devil

I think I read on the mepron pamphlet that doxycycline has a slight interaction with mepron. If you want to treat babs and lyme do Ceftin, zithro, mepron. If you want to treat bart and lyme you could do Doxy, rifampin, zithro, and ceftin if you are up for it.

Sheeks - I have been taking Ceftin and Zithro with Mepron for a couple months now...but I realized that I should be using the doxy...because otherwise I will end up with Doxy and mino left in a few months and they can't be used together.

I did put Mepron and doxy in the Drug Interaction checker I use...and no interactions came up.

Also, they're listed together as a babs treatment option in the LymeTreatment online book (LLMD MR) that I subscribe to.

Yes I noticed that from LLMD MR. I'll have to see if I can dig up the pamphlet.

From the pamphlet : "concomitant treatment with tetracycline has been associated with a 40% reduction in plasma concentrations of atovaquone."

It sounds like they are only talking about tetra and not doxy or mino, but I'm not sure.

Hopefully they mean Tetracycline specifically and not the entire class of Tetras. I think they must - because mino is given with Mepron as well.

I'm going to put Tetra with Mepron in my Drug Interraction checker

I checked and it is Tetracycline specifically that can decrease effectiveness of Mepron when taken together.
(Mino and doxy are fine)
