BeKindPls - are you taking Methylated B's?

Also, I had high B12 - but my ND said that's a measure of what's in the bloodstream...but it doesn't mean B12 isn't being utilized...that could just be the excess in the blood-stream. Our bodies take what they need.

same here, had levels 5 times the normal. my LLMD told me to stop all B6 supplements immediately...

BTW a study published just 3 months ago, placebo controlled, linked super high levels of B6 and B12 to lung cancer

study
ascopubs.org/doi/10.1200/JCO.2017.72.7735

so please, my advice is test your blood levels and if u have very hi levels, i would consider stopping them ...

Hi Girlie,

I am not taking any B supplements... I stopped when I saw how high my levels were after a short course of supplementing. So I stopped about 10 months ago but my B12 level is still around 1200. I wish there was a way to know whether my cells were using it or if it's just floating in the bloodstream.

Be Kind- Methylmalonic Acid test can detect b-12 deficiency. Since its pooling in your blood and not being used up, you might be deficient.

This place has a $400 inner cell vit/mineral/amino acid test, which is pretty accurate compared to a regular blood serum testing:

Thanks astro. I actually had that spectracell testing done. You piqued my interest so I went to look at the results again. My B12 and B6 are in perfect range, not sure why my doc had me getting B12 shots... All of my other Bs are normal or just barely borderline except for Biotin which is really low. On a side note, I notice that my calcium is through the floor, ironic since I am constantly forming kidney stones... Not sure what that's about. Thanks for replying!

My LLMD had me go in and do bloodtest for MTHFR gene mutation last week. Still waiting on results.. will this tell me what I need to know? Or is there more methylation tests that I should've asked for?
Very sick starting around 07/2016
Started treatment 03/2017
Bixain & Cefdinir - 3 months - plateaued
Then Biaxin & Minocycline - 3 months - did not improve

Thats a good starting point. If the result is negative, (while still having elevated B6) then thats not all you need to know.

Then think about the other posibilities and ideas presented to you in the comments.

Lyme is never easy is it. Makes us learn though.
