Have a few questions and finally some time to write them out. I'm making separate threads to keep them straight.

So Banderol, just got the nutramedix bottle in the mail, also some Cat's Claw tablets and other support stuff. But I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong.

Does anyone think it really matters if you mix the Banderol in something other than water? I've begun starting my day off with a "detox" concoction where I mix a bit of lemon juice, some cranberry juice, 8 or so drops of stevia (from nutramedix, though I've long used stevia), and some MSM powder in a glass with about 4oz of water. I've been adding the Banderol to that, after the water, giving another stir, and then drinking it down while taking my serrapeptase, Cat's Claw, and a "greens" detox tablet.

I then puts around the kitchen making my bullet-proof coffee (all I can stand in the morning) which also has more MSM, some gelatin powder, and stevia. I slowly drink about two mugs of that over the next hour or two. At some point after those two cups of BPC I take the rest of my morning supplements (curcumin, vitamins, etc., whatever I'm trying at the moment).

I'm not a morning person, and with Lyme my mornings are worse. And I have an ADHD husband to get to work, and an ASD kid and a preschooler to get to school. I'm not sure a more spaced out protocol would be doable for me consistently. And I've been looking around for the actual reason why it's suggested to take banderol on it's own, and not finding it. But usually that's said in connection to also taking the samento drops - does it matter if one's taking cat's claw tablet instead? (the tablets will take some time to dissolve in the stomach, so they aren't hitting the body at the same time).

I was also thinking about maybe taking the banderol like it's CBD or b12 - looking in the mirror and dropping it straight under my tongue, and then holding it there for a minute before swallowing. This seems to be a more direct method to absorb it, unless there's a reason for diluting it before drinking???

But, I didn't spend the money on this stuff to make it ineffective, and flush money down the drain (literally). So....thoughts? Am I doing this all wrong?

Eiren - I just quickly read through your post.

I don't know if you've looked at the Cowden Detailed Schedule instructions before.
It does say to put the herbs in water...not sure if it matters..

Maybe read through this...and see if there's any useful information.

A simple mind's assumption states that it's because you want your body to focus solely on absorbing the tincture(s) as opposed to with food as well. Maybe the stomach produces more acid in response to a larger, or more solid, feeding, which would inhibit the tinctures slightly? More blood and body fluids are going to be pulled to the GI system in preparation of digestion?

I don't know if there's any merit to that, though. I've heard of success, or response, to both with and without food or other. Is one better than the next? Again, I don't know.

Get it in where you fit in, or something like that, is my best response. So long as you're treating. Schedule things out, be as efficient as you can, avoid the obvious things (like, binders w/n 2-3 hours et things like that), but know that everything's not gonna be perfect, unless you sit there with a stopwatch and count every minute and interfere with other aspects of your life.

Like you said, you have your obligations. Lyme/co DO interfere, it's unavoidable, but it's a balancing game.

As for the money side of things, hard as it is, if you can, try not to think about it. Of course, use your medications as best directed, but burning money is part of the game, sometimes.
Do the work, be the prize.

Just bumping this back up to say...

I did try out simply dropping the Banderol under my tongue (look in a mirror to count the drops).

I think there's a reason you dilute it in water - "clean" it tastes like crap.

Can't decide if the taste is worse than CBD oil, but also not sure if I'll take it again like that.

PSA and FYI. Lol.
