I have Lyme and, I am constantly constipated. I took thyroid hormone supplements, thinking that would solve it. Do not know what to do anymore. Not fn my hubby has to carry me to the bathroom back and forth. Poor him getting as sore arm.

I guess you've tried the obvious? More water, fibre ?

What about upping your magnesium dose?

Hi vacant -

You can try aloe vera juice, tart cherry juice, coconut oil in tea or on toast or by the spoonful.

If fiber doesn't work, try a liquid diet - soups and purred foods (baby foods) for about a week to lessen the load on the GI while it works through what is already there.

I've always had good luck with a GI binder although this has made constipation worse for some people.

But if you still don't have any lucky, you need to try to do an enema or get more powerful laxatives from an MD - see an MD, regardless... let them know what is going on.

Hoe you have some progress -

The only thing that works for me is Natural Calm magnesium citrate powder. I started at the dose on the bottle but now have to take more than double that amount. I must take it daily or I cannot move my bowels. Miralax helped to a certain extent, but I didn't like the way it made me feel and didn't like the idea of taking it daily long term.

I am going to put something radical out there for those who have tried everything and are at the end of their rope for constipation. My wife tried everything. When large amounts of magnesium was having no effect and the tongue discolorations returned I knew what she was dealing with.

The yeast from this mold we were all exposed to was growing in her gut creating a tangled mess. I suspect this mold/yeast is in the web like fibers that have been known to fall out of the sky and coat the ground and trees.

Although we dont have planes flying overhead I still see the persister trails in the sky. I can figure out for the life of me how this is happening but I know a chemtrail when I see it since I lived most of my life around airports and didnt see these as a child, only contrails.

I you search on Youtube for 'webs falling out of sky' and look at Carnicoms site you will see this is a worldwide phenomenon.

https://carnicominstitute.org/wp/global-validation/

Carnicom in one of his articles spoke of finding their HEPA filter filled with these 'webs' after running it indoors for 3 months. I also experienced this and his site was the first I have seen of this happening to anyone else.

Many yeast molds grow in this linear fashion like ribbons and these webs in the HEPA filter resemble this.

At first she tried 5 days of Nitazoxanide because we had some success in the past with it on her tongue lesions but not the constipation.

Then I suggested Fluconazole. She could feel this go to work right away. Within days the constipation was solved. It has been a week and her tongue looks great. She will continue with this for a while. (Update -it worked so well and in 3 days, she said it had a positive effect after days and that it couldnt be anything else. It stopped working after a week, she continued it for 30 days).

I am awaiting supplements which Carnicom recommends to stop the growth of Morgellons which I plan to put the whole family on when they arrive (NAC,L-Carnosine, Vitamin C,Whey protein) She has no symptoms of Morgellons....yet, but it begins with fungus/yeast which I believe are just one of the many things in these 'webs' that we are all breathing. Most will show little to no symptoms regardless.

I will report on the effectiveness of the supplement protocol after using it for a while. I still have tinea on my face at times which I suspect is the stubborn part of the Morgellons as it is non responsive to yeast/fungal creams.

Ultimately Fluconazole is proving to be only fungistatic in my case. I am going to copy this post and give it its own thread in hopes that someone has tried the Carnicom protocol. Anecdotes on the internet say it has worked for others in ridding themselves of the affliction.

Naturally I will keep everyone in the loop going forward.

So if you have tried everything else for constipation, you would know withing a few days of taking Fluconazole if yeast is your issue.

Have some of you tried Magnesium Sulfate for constipation? Is it efficient? Is it safe to consume it daily at high dosage (kidney/liver)?

I've lived with serious constipation issues most of my life, mostly due to these infections.

I would encourage anyone using magnesium for any purpose to read this article, as it explains what the different types of magnesium do in the body, so you can choose one that will be the most effective for what you wish to use it for: /www.globalhealingcenter.com/natural-health/types-of-magnesium/

I have tried everything I dared to deal with my constipation issues, and most never helped until I discovered that it was nerve issues that were interfering with peristalsis in my intestines, creating psuedo-blockages. It took a combination of three herbs to bring that under control (and I have taken them for the last 8 years).

As is evident by the posts in this thread, there may be a number of reasons why some of us deal with constipation so much, so just don't take "it's just normal for some people" or whatever other excuse a doctor may give you. There IS a reason, and finding it and correcting it can really make a difference to our healing. We can't absorb and use nutrients that our bodies need if we are not able to have a well functioning gut.

yes I had this and decided to just bomb my gut with probiotics. 2 caps, 6 caps, 10 caps, then finally 15 caps per day. And guess what? it worked!

15 caps of Jarro-Dophilus EPS for 5 days in a row and then nice quality bowel movement. Sometimes I still need that much sometimes I only need a few caps.

I strongly recommend just increasing your probiotic amount day by day until you find the level that actually works.

I use a product called oxy powder by global health center. It's my lifesaver. It's an intestinal cleanse but after you cleanse you can use it daily.

Lapis_29: I take only 1 pill of probiotics (€1/pill)...I can't imagine taking 15 pills of probiotics in addition to the 40 pills I already take per day (including 6 pills of antibiotics). But your experience shows it's probably related tu gut glora. Interesting...

Traveler: What herbs? That, I could try...

Thank you guys.

what 3 herbs?

It's a simple combination of 1 part licorice root (watch your potassium levels if on this longer term), 1 part peppermint leaves, and 1/2 part of white peony root (red peony is not the same thing, although easier to find!).

I have to use high doses because I was left with this dysfunction for decades, but it's most likely due to dysfunction of the nerves in my intestines - wrong signals happening at the wrong time - and created psuedo-blockages.

I take 3 dose a day (sometimes 4 when my innerds cramp up really bad for days), and generally it's 2,000 mgs of the mixed herbs. I would suggest starting out on a much lower dose, as with higher doses, it can create the same issues because the intestines are "too relaxed" to do their job.

There may be other reasons for avoiding the use of these herbs long term as well as possible interactions with other herbs/meds, so be sure to check with your ND/Herbalist to be sure that it's right for you.

How did you discover the cause of your constipation? Would a GI doctor be the one to help me? Or did your LLMD help you think through that? Thanks!

Hi Kdtenn,
I started with a Gastro that was very well known for helping those "hard cases" - but he only helped me understand that I had issues - not what to do about them. The practitioner that helped me the most was a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner. After an evaluation, she had me start on those herbs above, and it did wonders for the constipation issues - but it has not fixed my motility issues. For that, I have discovered Cistus incanus tea - and although it's been incredibly rough to use it (what I call GI herxes, for lack of a better term), it's helping me a great deal. I also have been using lion's mane mushroom to help heal my nerves, as many nerves are involved with the GI as well (it's called the 'second brain' for good reason).

A lot of this I've learned on my own, just determined to take my healing as far as I could with lots of researching and I even enrolled in school to be a Clinical herbalist, and have been learning in depth about the body, body systems and more, which has helped me to understand even further what I've been living with - and makes me more disgusted that the doctors I'd been seeing my whole life allowed me to get to this point - even though I've never been one to go 'quietly into the sunset'.
