Hi
I was bitten in June
No rash then so no antibiotics
Very classic burning soles and palms started a month ago and now new pains daily
Now started severe headache and neck aches/ weak
Mouth so dry and tastes really salty and bitter, no saliva,is this common?
Is this all bartonella??
I am feeling quite scared,l already had bad dryness so this feels terrifying
My eyes are very sore,l already had sicca so no tears ,use drops 24/7
I hope there's some relief for this..any suggestions greatfully received!!
Thanks

Lila - if you want to get on antibiotic treatment you need to see a Lyme Literate Dr (LLMD)
We can help you find one - start a new thread: "Looking for LLMD in/near______"

Then enable your email through "my profile"
You can also email me and I may have some suggestions.

I have all the things you mentioned. Been clinically diagnosed with bart. Do you have a positive test?

you probably have all 3 B's (Borrelia, Bartonella and Babesia). the ticks today are very dirty (as in they house multiple pathogens).

you should get yourself to a LLMD if you don't treat these infections properly (and thoroughly) you can't get rid of them. since you've been bitten recently the quicker you treat properly the better else they really gain a foothold and can take a long time to flush out.

LilaJ - In the meantime, can anyone give you neck/shoulder massages. Most likely your upper shoulders and upper back are tight with the neck- its all connected. All this can cause severe tension headaches, feeling like your muscles are pulling down on the back of your head..

I you are alone, laying on the floor moving over a golf ball or lager lacross ball and statically holding position over tight areas on the upper back / shoulders can "melt" them away, but it takes time. It works by improving circulation once you lift off the golf ball - by the void/impression that was temporarily created refilling with new blood/nutrients.. Tennis balls are too soft and wont make an impression in your muscle. This is more effective the further you get into treatment, but its still worth while. Called trigger point release and its on you tube.

I've been extremely thirsty since I got bit over a year ago. I don't go anywhere without a water bottle. And also have very painful feet. Neck pain in and off. So everything you are feeling is very common. And totally sucky.

Get on meds asap if you aren't already. That will help. Good luck and feel better!!!

Hi
Thanks for feedback and support
I have quite serious anxiety too now too
So the Chinese herbs try this so it goes into remission/ gets cured or is it always going to be around?
Do people use Chinese herbs and abx too?
The Bartonella scares me hugely , lve nevwr had this level of fear/ anxiety ,and have spent days in bed feeling utterly black ,almost catatonic, just exhausting.

I have found the Chinese herb houttuynia really helpful for bart, *but* I need antibiotics too to make progress. I take both. I've done a lot of herbs but for me, personally, they don't work well enough without antibiotics too.

Severe headaches definitely seem common w/ bart. I know someone who had daily migraines from bart and they did resolve fully over time w/ bart treatment. I personally have very few headaches now and was having migraines a lot before going back on bart treatment.

The anxiety -- esp. with early morning waking w/ a lot of anxiety or intrusive images (i.e. like a spinning movie of stressful things) -- seems pretty characteristic of bartonella. But I agree it's likely you have all three B's and need to get thoroughly tested for all and treated as an LLMD indicates.
