I'm sure this is common but it is really bad today...I feel so weak, all over. I feel like I can't stand or even hold myself up for long. I can't tell if is is muscular or neurological. I just feel like jelly. Is this common? I have some lower back pain. I also suffer from vertigo but that has gotten under control, so I don't feel like it is that making me feel like I could fall over. This feels like I'm just not strong enough. Ugh.

I have had muscle weakness in the past and it felt slightly different. I usually had some muscle twitching or tingling with it before. Now, just weakness all over.

Thanks everyone!
Em

Em, it is normal for lyme. It takes so much from us and I am so sorry you are hurting like this.

Many can't do much but lay around. I did it for a long time when I was healing. I was the sleep/nap/do nothing queen. I could barely get up to get something to eat or go the bathroom. Everything was a huge chore.

Make sure you are detoxing. That was hard for me to detox when I felt that weak. But I had to. I hope you have someone to wait on you for a bit.

Thanks PeteZa! You are always so kind and informative.

Today was son’s 14th birthday and I tried to get some stuff done. I think it made me feel worse. I have been detoxing and did these medi body packs today for external detox. I wonder if it might be adding to my list of issues. Can we do too much detox? I plan to do a foot soak tonight while the kids watch tv. I’m so exciting!

Em, I have never heard of anyone detoxing too much, but gosh everything with lyme is possible.

I think you are having a flare of symptoms because you are a Mom and want to do it all for everyone. Birthdays can be stressful. I don't know how you Moms or any parent does it with lyme.

My hat is off to you. A nice foot soak and tea and a movie sounds wonderful.

Hope tomorrow is better.

Thank you! I didn’t think we could detox too much since I know I am full of toxins! Lol

I hate that I can’t do as much as I used to do for birthdays. Even a year ago was better. This disease is for the birds!

I had a lot of weakness, blurry visions, and vertigo at the beginning. A lot. It’s clearing up well with tx. I feel very weak when I ramp up my treatment, but in general it’s just an “out of shape” feeling.
I call them Gorilla Arms.... my arms are so heavy I can’t lift them and they just drag to the floor
Lyme, Babesia, Bartonella. Symptoms began 5/2016, didn't start treatment until 9/2016. Slow but steady recovery.

We can detox too fast...if we incorporate too many methods all at once.

What happens is we mobilize a large mount of toxins...and we aren't able to keep up with the elimination of them.

But, if you've been detoxing for awhile...you should be fine.

Here's a thread where it's discussed:

Yes- weak and no energy. I rarely push myself-traveling for doctor visits and keeping my job. At this
point that it everything else is extra.
Ten pass ozone and thyroid meds have helped some

Thank you all! I did do a new way to detox today and I started a new pill last night with bromelain, turmeric, collagen and vitamin C. I wonder if the added C could be kicking my immune system into gear and causing more symptoms. I hadn’t even thought about it! Ugh. I think I will cut back to one dose a day and see if that helps. I might have to stop taking it.

The best way to detox is slowly add in one thing "gently" at a time and slowly continue to add more and more.

Back off if you have to momem3.
