Okay for past 2 or so years I have been getting more exhausted, having less stamina, joint aches, headaches, and my asthma has been flaring up. I tested negative for RA and Lupus, Nov 21 2017. That same sample along with 3 more blood panels brought up the issue that I Polycythemia Rubra Vera (positive JAK2). During that time a wellness Dr. Thought I had a secondary infection and th is came up. Along with positive EBV results.

I see HEMOC Dr. 12/29 but do not know when Wellness Dr. will be back to discuss the below results.

Anybody out there know what these lab results mean?

Hi Limitpusher - welcome!

Those results are positive for Lyme disease.

If I were you - I would find a Lyme Literate Dr and schedule an appt.
I don't know what Polycythemia Ruba is - but I do know that Lyme and coinfections can be responsible for many other issues in our bodies. We are often diagnosed as having autoimmune diseases (RA, Lupus, Sjogrens..etc), Fibromyalgia, MS....etc etc . when it's actually Lyme disease.

We can help you find a LLMD - start a new thread: "Looking for LLMD in/near_____" and fill in the blank with your location.
You can send me an email and I may have some options for you as well.

We do encourage our new members to look through the information in the thread: "New to Lyme?...Start Here!"

Thank you guys. My wellness Dr. said she thought I had a secondary infection to the blood cancer, PV. Seems like both the Epsteins Barr Virus and the Lymes Disease came back as positive in her tests. PV is too many RBC, WBC, Hematacrit, and Hemoglobin (or at least those were the levels that caused Drs to do a gene mutation test called JAK2 (which I came out positive for). Many of the same symptoms as Lymes, are also seen in PV. I tested negative for RA and Lupus.

What kinds of treatments do they have for Lymes? who knows if this came from a Tick bite in my teens in California, or more suspect to my wellness Dr is actually mosquito bites in Thailand and Southern Mexico. Go figure.

Okay - so it's blood cancer.

How are you treating that?

If you see a Lyme Literate Dr. (LLMD) - you will be prescribed antibiotics to take...generally two (or three) at a time.
It will take many months to years to treat since it's a chronic infection.

If you don't want to take antibiotics, you can take herbals. There are several different 'non-antibiotic' protocols.
Some options:

- Buhner's
- Cowden
- Beyond Balance

Interesting. about the different treatments for Lymes. My wellness dr discussed no more antibiotics till we figured out what was wrong. Now we know, hopefully she will give me a game plan when she gets back from vacation. She marrys Western Medicine, with Natural Hollistic and Eastern medicine, I will share with everyone what steps she takes me on to recovery. As to the PV I go the 29th for a treatment plan will also share when I get it. FYI A friend of mine worked with a retired cancer research Dr. when his daughter got diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer at age 14. She was given 3 months to live, she is now just graduating college. This Dr said about my EBV and Lymes: Try to find a phycisian who will employ IV hydrogen peroxide, or blood ozonation or IV colloidal Silver if that's not possible use oral oil of oregano for a few months...

I am on 3 months of Doxycycline. Low dose 100 mg 2 times a day. I am also on 20 different mixtures of "medical grade" supplements and drops. My white counts are still through the roof so about 2 weeks ago I piggybacked Azythromyacin 500 mg per day for 5 days. I have cut sugar and gluten out of my diet, and now, I am being put on a inflammation diet. Same no's plus about 15 more nos on what I cannot eat. Basically I am eating meat and vegitables. Grain fed beef and organic chicken.

New issue has popped up since restricting my diet more. At about 5:30 every night when I get home from work, my cheeks and ears get hot and red and my temp goes form the usual 96-97 degrees to 99.5 degrees. Is this normal? Should I worry about it?

As promised, what too late, the protocol we are starting with:
1. Lyme is Positive but just the IgG Panel indicating is an old or Chronic Lyme. Dr. Ho would like to prescribe Doxycycline 100 mg to treat it and recommends to retest using Fry Labs (please let me know which pharmacy you would like to use).

2. Your thyroid is not balance. Dr. Ho recommends to take a thyroid supplement.

3. C-Reactive Protein is high indicating inflammation.

4. Vitamin D is very low.

5. Dr. Ho recommends to take the following supplements to treat the conditions mentioned above:

Vibrant Chelate Aids in the body’s removal of heavy metal toxins such as lead and mercury. 2 capsules, twice/day. (will help with Lyme residue in your body)

Vibrant Detox Super immune health booster (glutathione and SOD) and anti-inflammatory agent, aids in gut healing. 1 capsule, twice/day.

HP Support Mastic Gum, Bi****h Citrate & Zinc Carnosine helps promote microbial balance in the GI tract. 1 capsule twice/day.

GI Balance Rx Contains Berberine to eliminate unwanted gut pathogens. Helps balance gut flora, reducing bloating, cramping & yeast and bacterial overgrowth. 2 capsules, twice/day.

ProBiotic Rx Helps restore healthy gut flora and thus improves digestion & nutrient absorption. Protective against intestinal pathogens, helps to lower cholesterol, relieve diarrhea, and improves intestinal elimination. 1 capsule/day.

Vibrant Thyroid Rx Contains critical components to help support an underactive thyroid. 1 capsule/day.

Cell Detox Nutrient blend that boosts mitochondria and cellular energy production, supports, detoxification, and strengthen your immune system.

Vibrant Magnesium Rx Critical for producing energy in muscles, decreasing inflammation levels. Reduces incidence of migraine headaches and fibromyalgia pain. Causes tight muscles to relax, improves heart function, improves sleep, increases energy, and improves absorption of calcium. 2 capsules at night, or twice/day if needed.

Vibrant SAMe Relieves and slows progression of arthritis/osteoarthritis; reduces symptoms of depression & fibromyalgia. 2 capsules, twice/day.

Serene PM Rx Contains vitamins, minerals & 5HTP to improve sleep issues, mood disorders and anxiety. 1-3 capsules/night.

One last thing, My wellness Doctor had my county call her for lots of questions, then the next week I get a call from Texas Department of State Health Services from the Zoonosis Control... what the heck?! My gp test people for lyme's as he did my friend, but he told me "Doctors in this area do not believe Lyme's is in this area". Our County denies it and now the state is calling me to. Is this weird?

It is a sad state of affairs. This "we don't have Lyme here" crap that doctors are asserting. There are only a handful of states that are considered "endemic" Outside of those states they have a much higher threshold for counting cases for epidemiological purposes. It also seems to be more difficult to find doctors willing to treat tick borne illness outside of the northeastern US.

Kudos on the healthy dietary adjustments.

How has the 3 months of Doxy fared for you so far? If you haven't improved/responded to the treatment, I would ask your doctor about changing it up. Often it seems, that tick bites can give you more than just Borrelia, but other pathogens that may respond better to other anti-microbials.

good luck and ask any questions!

I have only done 6 weeks so far, been going through some herxing, like oh no NOT this again, with aches and pains and stomach issues. I have way more energy and less brain fog than before treatment. After the 3 months on Docxy I will wait two weeks and then we will get a kit from Fry Labs in Arizona and sent my blood there for further testing. By the weekend I am still pretty much flat on my back, but I am working and being productive during the week
