Anyone know much about this, I tested positive for it, I’ve ready that doxy usually sorts it but I was on doxy for 2 months 2 weeks after my bite, would this have sorted it, is it normal to still show in my blood report?

The reference range is <0.81 results reported as 0.81- 1.199 are equivocal

My result was 1.2

Is there any way of know if this is active infection or do these antibioes just stay present in the blood?

What are your symptoms? Do you still have symptoms?

If so, then you weren't treated long enough.

Yes, the antibodies can continue to be produced after treatment.

Hi Girlie my symptoms are occasional joint pain, not major I can still walk around and do my 10k steps per day. I get the wrinkly fingers after being in the bath for 30 seconds... I would say (touch wood) that they are my only symptoms at the moment.

according to my test I have ehrlichia babs and bart.

I never treated the other 2 so will speak to my doc about this when I see him next week.

Since you haven't treated the other infections - I wouldn't be concerned about the Ehrlichia.

I would focus on treating the others' and then see what your symptoms are after.

I was PCR positive for Lyme and Erhlichia. Don't know much about E., as no one really talks about it. I know it can be really serious in an acute infection but chronic is different. I'm focusing on the other infections.

You’re right no on tends to talk about it, think I will just focus on the babs and bart for now, that should keep me busy enough!

With abx, Ehrlichia is usually taken care of when treating the three B's

The doxy that you took may be sufficient.
