Hello, my neurologist sent me for blood work for Lyme Disease. The only things that came back was a high Alpha A 1 Globulin and a reactive 41 IGG band.

He sent me because he found my feet and brain weren't communicating like they should, also off balance when I walk and/or stand. I have had dry mouth, nose, eyes for a few years now, my eyes most of the time feel tired and burn, I was tested for swallowing issues (nothing found), my thoughts don't seem very clear at times, word sometimes come out wrong, forgetful/foggy brain, forget things all the time, joint pain, tired all the time, very off balance (I have fallen a couple times! I don't see him till Feb, I do see my primary in January so I'm gonna ask him and ask for a referral to a rheumatoid dr when I see him. I would just like answers as to why I feel this way.

Hi Tif - welcome to our community!

What lab was your lyme test done at?

If you want to try another testing facility - Igenex Lab in California - specializes in tick-borne pathogen testing.
You can call them and they'll send you a test kit.
The Lyme Western Blot IgM and IgG costs $250.

You just fedex the blood samples back to them.

41 is a very common band to show up with people who do have lyme disease.

You can also seek out a LLMD for an evaluation. we can help with that: Start a new thread titled: "Looking for LLMD in/near_____" and fill in the blank with the city you live in.

A lyme literate Dr. can help you get proper testing...and also clinically diagnose you.

Here's a questionnaire you can do:[url]

See what your score is.
