So I have been feeling like I'm dying for the last few days, I wake up and everything hurts, my head especially, I'm tired, dizzy, cold, been having panic attacks at night, depressed... The only thing that changed with my protocol is last week I did 3 days of difflucan. I started having stomach issues first, then everything else came on out of no where. Do you think I'm herxing from the diflucan? I'm super sensitive to meds, but is 3 days of diflucan enough to make me feel this horrible and almost a week after taking it? I'm so depressed, I don't want 2018 to start out the way 2017 is ending!!

You could be herxing.

I don't remember did you ever take diflucan before?

I have herxed very soon after taking something, and I have heard others herx later, sometimes even a days or weeks later.

I hope it's herxing and not a really horrible intense flare! At least if this is herxing then something has been killed, although I feel like it's me who is slowly dying!! I've not taken diflucan before and I know candida has been a proble both with yeast infections, fungal nail growth and angular chelitis. I so badly want this herx or flare to end, it almost feels like it's getting worse!

If it started after the diflucan I would bet its a herx. Candida can cause a bunch of symptoms when killed off.

I just hope it stops soon! I would give anything if tomorrow I wake up and I'm back to my version of normal, which I am going to be so thankful for!

my llmd uses diflucan to go after lyme...says it works well, as it gets into the brain...some people often chime in that its an anti-fungal, and doctors dont use it for lyme as much...my llmd is one of the best out there, and i can vouch for its ability to cause a neuro herx...

HOw long does a neuro herx typically last? I don't remember ever being this bad! I can barely get from the bed to the couch, I feel so horrible! It's been 4 days since it started but today is by far the worst!

I never heard of diflucan even working that fast. It took a lot longer for me to herx on it.

How much are you taking?

I took 200mg per day for a week, then every other day.

Are you taking liver detox supps? Dif is hard on the liver.
Had initial lyme symptoms late 80's, then again w/with bullseye early 90's. Ended ABX for Lyme in 2015. Rebuilding / repairing / fine tuning since then; member "10 Percenters Lyme Club". What an adventure this has been. Hashimotos adds to the enjoyment.

I took 150mg for 3 days, didn't feel too good on it so I stopped, then a week later is when everything fell apart! I have never felt this bad! Everything hurts, especially my head, pain goes down my spine, I'm so tired can barely walk, super depressed, scary panic attacks, also the fuzzy sensation in my head. Before this I was doing a herbal for yeast and a nasal spray and was tolerating it fine. I decided to try the diflucan since I couldn't get rid of a persistent yeast infection. I guess I didn't realize how well I was before this, I mean I'd have herxes and flares but this is 1000 times worse then any herxes I've had in the past. I just don't get it? It doesn't make a lot of sense to me!

Are you taking probiotics? (Opposite of time any "killer" Rx/ herbs ects).

A lot of herxing is your liver taking a hard hit, why I mentioned that.

Yes, I take a really good probiotic every morning. I'm also doing loads of detox including milk thistle. I got my blood work back and liver levels are ok, but wbc are low and albumin is high (not totally sure what that is). I am so ready to start to feel even 50% better! Thanks so much for your input Astroman!
