Does anyone know what the best Igenex tests are for both Babesia and Bartonella? If so, what is the cost?

I am taking mepron and zith to hit babesia now, but I haven't had a positive tests for these just positive for mychoplasma, CPN and Lyme and I kind of show sx of both babs and bart.

I don't want to keep hitting babesia for another 4-5 months if I don't have it becuase the mepron is rough on my liver and giving me bad side effects (could be a herx).

Anyway, if there are accurate tests for Babesia and Bartonella through Igenex I want to tell my LLMD next week that I'd like to run the test.

If the Labcorp testing is okay then I could do that and see what shows up since I am assuming it would be cheaper after insurance.

If any/all testing is pretty unreliable I will just continue to treat based on symptoms.
Very sick starting around 07/2016
Started treatment 03/2017
Bixain & Cefdinir - 3 months - plateaued
Then Biaxin & Minocycline - 3 months - did not improve

Now taking:
Mepron 5mL 2x a day
Zithromax
Nystatin
Cats Claw - 30 drops 2x a day
Gou Teng - 30 drops 2x a day
CSA - 40 drops 2x a day
Japanese Knotweed - 40 drops 2x a day

Do Labcorp tests first. You may get lucky and get a positive. Mine were negative. Bartonella and babesia didn't show up on my DNA Connexions test either - only got positives for Lyme and ehrlichia. I've heard Galaxy Diagnostics is the best for bartonella. Not sure about babesia.

Thank you so much! That sounds like a good plan! I think I read that Galaxy is really expensive.

Crazy to think that Veterinarians can run these tests on cats and they are super cheap and very accurate, but we don't have that kind of testing for humans.

Wouldn't it be awesome if we could give our blood to vets and see what they come up with?

Anyways, if it were me, I'd probably do DNA Connexions to test for babesia/bartonella.

My doctor recommended Fry labs for babesia. But we decided not to do it because it was too expensive for us (over 1000 if I recall correctly).

In the Chronic Lyme Disease Summit, one of the practitioners does a herbal challenge for bartonella and babesia. I'd lean toward that too.
Kid#1: Extremely sick for several years, very difficult to treat, but doing great now!
Kid#2: Still sick now despite being treated for years but doing better (not well yet).
Kid#3: Generally good but relapsing off/on.
Me: Adv Labs positive 2016 (suspected I passed to my kids)-not as sick as others, mostly battling fatigue and yeast issues (heart/kidney issues resolved)
Treating with herbals now.

Thank you 1000Daisies smile

Do you know roughly the price for the DNA Connexions test?

And what do you mean by herbal challenge?
