I was bitten by a nymph tick on June 24th a known lyme area on East Coast. I think it was on me less than 10 hours but not positive.

It was a little hard to see the area of the bite. I never actually looked for an EM rash.

After a month, I began to get symmetrical arthritis in my hands.

Recently somebody asked me if I ever saw a red rash in the area. I finally looked and the area is very red.

Can EM rash last from June 24 2017 to Jan 2018?

This is my first post. I appreciate your time and knowledge in responding.

Hi kd2xsi - welcome!

I'm just doing a quick post due to time constraints..but YES, the EM rash can persist...for months/years.

It can also come and go several times.

Are you looking for a LLMD...or are you already in treatment?

We encourage our new members to read through the information in the thread: "New to Lyme?..Start Here!"
It's packed full of useful information.
Lots to learn when it comes to lyme and coinfections.

Welcome kd2xsi. I got bit and got the bull's eye rash. I just thought it was a bug bite. It stay on me for just over 3 weeks and finally faded away.

My doctor that had lyme, had the rash on his entire torso. It went away and then came back again. His finally went completely away with treatment and he healed.

I was bit over 5 months ago and when I’m in the shower my rash is visible, not as bright as it originally was but it seems to have stained the skin.

My bullseye lasted about 2 months I think, years ago. It was oval on my torso and later complete with raised bumps. Eventually got a little infected and left a scar in the center. The pattern never came back.

First I though it was poison ivy but it did not itch like it. Then I thought maybe shingles- but there was no pain.

Dr said there was no lyme in ws or mn at the time as I sat there trembling, hot/cold and sore in the room. I argued the point and lost. It was here, big time. As a young man, I was an avid outdoors person, and had many ticks on me up to that point.

I had HMO healthcare plan, THAT one Dr held the key to me seeing any other Dr.- and shut the door. Thanks a lot idiot Dr!!

Read the list on "this" site? List of LLMD's?

You can start a new thread: "Looking for LLMD in/near______" and fill in the blank.
Then enable your email option so members can send you names.

...and you can send me an email...I may have some options listed.
