Since a couple of weeks I'm having trouble breathing. At first, it only happened when I climbed the stairs. Two weeks ago it happened the whole day for several days. Just sitting in my chair and having a feeling like I can't fully breath in or like there is something heavy sitting on my chest. O2 saturation meter shows normal values. Does this sound like air hunger?

Then this week I suddenly got very painful stabbing headaches above my left ear and a constant pressure in my head. Headaches are linked to the movement of my mouth. Like if I talk or just open my mouth. Not always, it's random. It's very weird. I'm also very dizzy/spacey all the time now.

Whenever I feel something new like these symptoms, I'm always worried it's something like cancer. Very anxious all the time. sad
Would be a 'relief' if I knew with certainty this is just the good old regular lyme issue.

Anyone recognize these symptoms?

I hate breathing issues. Air hunger to me was the worst. What you describe "something heavy sitting on my chest" , "I can't fully breath" and a "constant pressure in my head" definitely sound like symptoms I experienced before and then during babesia treatment. Anxiety was a symptom I experienced.

Have you been diagnosed with Babesia? Are you currently on any antibiotics or herbs?

Air hunger is a little different but what you describe I've heard many describe on here over the years, so definitely lyme related.

Babesia, mycoplasma and Bart are the infections in the lyme world, most know for respiratory issues.
Lyme (Igenex) - Positive IFA and WB bands 23, 31, 41
Ehrlichia (Igenex)
Mycoplasma (Labcorp) - Score: 595

ABX Treatment: 03/2016-04/2016; 7/2017-9/2017
Buhner Protocol for Lyme and Mycoplasma: May 2016 - Dec. 2016; 8/2017 - Present

I take cats claw capsules from NOW brand: 3 x day 1 gram
Houttuynia: 2 x day 20 drops
Sida acuta: 3 x day 6 drops

Had to drop the sida acuta down because of weird side effect or herx. Since I've been on only 6 drops some Bartonella symptoms are starting to return.

Also had to take oral Vancomycin recently for c-diff. Typing this I just realized the vancomycin was at the same time these symptoms started. But the oral version is not supposed to get in the blood, that's why I have never given it any thought.

Could leaky gut be the culprit and the vancomycin accidentally getting in the blood, having stirred up some bugs I wasn't having an issue with previously?

What you described sounds very much like babesia symptoms. Sida acuta is one of the most effective herbs for babesia (and also bartonella) and can definitely increase symptoms of those coinfections.

My first thought was blood clots. I would have someone take me to the Emergency room, if it was me.

It doesn't happen constantly, wouldn't blood cloth breathing problems be all the time?
There were days I didn't have any problems and suddenly yesterday I was hit with an intense feeling of not breathing properly. That's when I posted.

I had the breathing like you describe and I went to the doctor to have it checked. Just because it was so scary.

O2 levels fine and of course, in the docs office, my lungs were fine.

I have never tested for babs, bart or myco, but my breathing got better when I treated lyme.

Unfortunately, those that have little understanding of what it feels like to have Babesia air hunger will assume that it's something much worse - like blood clots. Yes, if you had blood clots, it would NOT be intermittent. My husband nearly died from blood clots (in both legs hip to ankle and 70% in both lungs) - and I can tell you, it was not intermittent breathing issues at any point. He thought he had double pneumonia.

What you describe as something sitting on your chest (especially since your O2 sat meter is showing good oxygen), is a Babesia symptom. Our O2 is usually fine, it's that we feel like we can't get a breath at times, or it's just difficult to not get 'winded'.

Yes, leaky gut could have added to this with the vanco.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I was scared of the blood clots so I went to the ER. Blood was fine, lung x-ray too.
They prescribed aspirin lol.
But now I have peace of mind. They wouldn't do a head scan so still not 100 % sure the constant dizziness and head pressure isn't something else but the odds of it not being Lyme and friends are low I guess.

I've been hitting bart hard this month, and the last few days I noticed some breathing issues. I have exercised induced asthma, and I think the lyme/bart can make that worse. I feel like I do when I exercise, which I have not been doing! lol I wish I could exercise.

My is intermittent also. I'm taking rifampin and doing burner's protocol right now.
pos for MTHTR single mutation; Positive Igenix IgG Jan 2017
