I've had various forms of pain, sensitivity, and numbness in my mouth at least since I started trying to treat Lyme and co with Buhner's herbal protocols.

A while back, it was most noticeable in my upper front teeth and I had bouts of numbness in the center of my head behind my nasal passages up through the roof of my mouth. That passed and now I'm having sensitivity pain in my bottom teeth and somewhat in the upper molars and in the tissue in my mouth. I've been kinda freaking out, as I'm imagining that mercury and other heavy metals are getting pulled out of my teeth and mouth tissue. It feels like maybe my body is dumping heavy metals for some reason.

It's scary. I took one S. boullardi capsule a couple months ago, and the next day I felt sick and my brain felt like it was being poisoned. To me, it felt more like heavy metals had been let loose in my brain more than like die off of something in my gut.

I have an appointment Thursday with a biological dentist. If I tell him all this, I hope he doesn't think I'm crazy.

If anyone can relate or if you have comments or suggestions, please post. Thanks.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I also have facial numbness, pain in teeth and jaw. I was tested for heavy metals and have several abnormal results. I also was found to have a necrotic condyle right side of jaw. Waiting for an appointment with surgeon in another state. Let us know how you make out at appt. oh I also get sores in my mouth almost on a monthly basis.

You can also just have pain in the teeth, gums, jaw etc from the infections too.

Long before knowing what I had I had sore teeth, it moved around, numbness in tongue, lips, and soreness in jaw.

Hope you both are able to get some relief and I think its a good idea to go to Biological dentist.

I haven't yet but hope to in the future.

Lyme aggravated my TMJ and my sinuses. Lyme messes up so many things in our bodies. It sucks. It makes us run to the doctor, dentist, cardiologist, orthopedic surgeon, neurologist and psychiatrist. I hate lyme because it is so fickle. It can't just be one thing. It is so many.

I always get pain, itching and soreness in my teeth and gums. Whenever I get a bad cold or a bartonella flare up it gets worse. Teeth cleanings make my whole jaw and head hurt sometimes.

A lot of times I will brush and brush my teeth but they will still hurt almost like I had something caught in my teeth (even though there's nothing there). It must be the Lyme, because I only have one root canal and no fillings, and usually it's the teeth that aren't near the root canal that hurt.

I'm also thinking of going to a biological dentist, but I'm not sure if it's worth it just to have them look at one root canal.
