So Morgellons is important to be aware of. If you just google it you will get wrong, misleading information.
Morgellons is not a parasite, fungus or a delusion.
That is not to say that someone doesn't also have fungal issues or parasites when they have Lyme and morgellons.
If you have Lyme, and I mean Borellia B specifically, it doesn't mean you have Morgellons, but if you have Morgellons...you have Lyme. That has already been determined by researchers Eva Sapi and her group at New Haven University in Connecticut and other researchers.
From Eva Sapi:
"A number of peer reviewed published studies have shown that Morgellons skin lesions are associated with Lyme disease. The causative agent of Lyme disease, Borrelia burgdorferi, and other closely related bacteria have been detected in Morgellons skin lesions. “This finding has been reproduced at four independent laboratories,” says Dr. Éva Sapi of the University of New Haven. “Thus the association between infection and Morgellons disease is reproducible if the correct detection methods are used.”
Bartonella is also indicated to be a strong player in Morgellons.
Not everyone with Morgellons get the lesions, black specks or the structural proteins that take different forms and push out of the skin.
The determining factor if you have Morgellons...is fibers.
This is a horrific illness for many, and what they go through can be excruciating painful both physically and mentally....Morgellons can be horrendous and disfiguring.
Please have compassion and understanding as many many people have suffered and been labeled delusional for decades.
Many people that possibly think they may have Morgellons could be reading what is said on this forum. They could be searching for answers or reaching out for help.
We can help by referring them to the Charles E. Holman Morgellons Disease Foundation athttp://www.thecehf.org/
And the book "Morgellons:The legitimization of a disease "by G. Savely
Morgellons is a real disease.
It should be
open for discussion here since it is a manifestation of Lyme and most likely Bartonella. https://www.dovepress.com/articles.php?article_id=29451https://www.lymedisease.org/morgellons-disease-proven-occur-dogs/http://www.morgellonsmovie.org/?utm_source=ilads+conferences%3a+us+and+european&utm_campaign=4c507dea2a-email_campaign_2018_07_27_06_13&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_722f6a9166-4c507dea2a-241443617
