Sorry all I feel like I’m hogging the forum today but I’m frraking out as I’ve had a new symptom which is pin prick type pain in my foot that keeps coming and going.

I’m worried the herbs are not doing enough quickly enough. Should I add in abx? Is it normal to get new symptoms during treatment? I’m worried I now have neuro lyme,

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m currently taking jk and cats claw at full dose, eleuthero 10 drops a day, saliva mittiorhuza 8 drops a day, cordyceps 9 drops a day, red root, 10 drops a day, Sida Acuta 12 drops a day.
Andrographis 400 x 2 a day.

It’s taking me so long to get to full dose, is it likely this is not enough to help and I should add in pharma abx?

I got new pains while on herbs.

My "theory" was that the herbs were chasing the bugs and the bugs were searching for a place to hide.

It was in the middle of my herbal treatment that I got those pins (I called it glass) in my feet. Just don't let up on the herbs unless you have to. Stay at the dose you are and see if it goes away.

Mine did not last long, maybe 2-3 weeks. Then it was gone.

Thank you so much for the reassurance PeteZa. You have no idea how much I needed to hear that, I will stick with it and up my detoxing.

It’s so scary, I hate feeling out of control like this.

Thank you, you’re a star 🌟

For almost 2 years of being healed, and I cringe at any new thing in my body. I constantly STILL wonder if lyme will come back. It is hard to get it completely out of your mind.

I think this is why so many that heal don't come back here and read these posts.

Sometimes I have to take a break from reading about lyme. Reading it day-by-day is living it again.

One thing I do know, is if you are busy and living you don't worry as much.

When we are doing things that we love, we have less time to wonder if that is a symptom. We just keep on living.

This is so so true! Funnily enough the days I keep myself super busy I rarely feel a thing and if I do I just accept it and move on. Days like the last 2 days where I don’t have access to the car so am stuck at home, on my own my mind goes into overdrive and I research all day and by the time my husband gets home I’m a mess. Worried, anxious... stressing myself out.

Hats off to you for being so active on this site even though you’re fully healed PeteZa.

Just wanted to add that this is likely herxing, because you are getting up in dosages that your body needs to help deal with these infections. Upping your detox is exactly what you should be doing - good for you!

LOL! I know what you mean. It's very disturbing to deal with these things at times!

That's the beauty of a good Lyme forum - we can talk to each other and have a better idea of what's "normal" for us to experience, and what we need to take seriously and get to a doctor quickly.

Hang in there!! This is one highly "interesting" journey!!! But, we are here to help you through it!

That is so comforting you can be fully healed, l am so far from that, just letting my body fight it off and going to start abx but vision and anxiety not good.
I think it's neuro as I've become a bit OCD and highly anxious all the time.
Can it just go away with your body fighting it? I'm on a good Aip diet.

I've had that fear too .... should I go back on abx? Am I on the right path?

I have even filled a couple abx, but I didn't end up using them.

We can't really tell you which path to go, as that is a very personal decision. smile There are those who are successful with abx, and those who are not. Same with herbals.

But I can tell you that there are ups and downs with both for sure!

I highly recommend reevaluating. If a path doesn't work for you (for whatever the reason), change it up. Sadly, I had to "change it up" numerous times for Kid#1 because many things did not help him (he was a very difficult case to treat).

I feel for you. I've had those doubts too - I think that can be normal!

Wishing you the very best.
Kid#1: Extremely sick for several years, very difficult to treat, but doing great now!
Kid#2: Still sick now despite being treated for years but doing better (not well yet).
Kid#3: Generally good but relapsing off/on.
Me: Adv Labs positive 2016 (suspected I passed to my kids)-not as sick as others, mostly battling fatigue and yeast issues (heart/kidney issues resolved)
Treating with herbals now.

I am hoping to have just finished my last round of antibiox - rifampin for bart. I'm going to try and stick with herbals going forward. The one thing I am thinking about exploring is Biopure as my doctor had me read an interview by Klinghardt, and I remember someone on here had good results with it and also had bart. Also, I'm working hard to boost my own immune system so it's in full fighting form!

Everything I've read said antibiox get you 85-90% there, and most days I'd say I'm at 90. But I sometimes have days where I still get the bad foot pain, achilles, glutes, arms, back... I also know a couple of people that thought they were cured with antibiox, and within 2 years were back on them.

I agree that if something isn't helping you improve after 3-4 months, consider a different plan. And definitley keep living! I think having to get up and walk the dog, get the kids ready, get to work is helping me to push through the flares and herxes towards healing.
MTHTR single mutation; Positive Igenix IgG Jan 2017; March/Apr '17: doxy, Tinizadole. 5/1 samento and mino/tini. 5/28- back to doxy, added activated charcoal. 6/9 - stopped antibiox; staying with samento, red root and houttiya and supps. tried LDN; 8/24 rifampin, samento, red root and supps. On and off rifampin. 1/1/18 - 1/20 rifampin. Herbs and vitamins only now.

I have never heard of a bacteria infection going away without some intervention.

I would definitely not attempt it, in my opinion.
