I read this as a comment somewhere else...? Never heard of these used for nerve healing.

Thought ALA was only liver detoxer.

My LLMD had me try Inositol as an experiment a few years back, she said if I didn't try it, she would.

I think I purchased a one pound powder bulk pack starting with 1/4 tsp per day on 4/6/14, then doubled by 4/21/14. Ran out 3/27/15 and stopped. Saw no benefit. But who knows.

I took ALA last summer, along with some NAC, for all the tingling pain in my extremities. It didn't make the pain go away, and then I got nerve conduction tests done which said that my nerves are perfectly healthy, so....

I still tingle. No one knows why!!!

I think it's useful, but not a magic bullet. I'm thinking about restarting it as a part of a larger amino-acid supplementation protocol.

I started to have neuropathy in my hands. This was some time ago (few years back). At times, I could barely hold something with my left hand. I researched it, and I stumbled across ALA (alpha-lipoic-acid).

I tried it, and it resolved my issue. I was really surprised that it resolved it so quickly!!! (Admittedly, I used it very early on when symptoms first started. I was also not on any lyme-related treatment at the time either.)
Kid#1: Extremely sick for several years, very difficult to treat, but doing great now!
Kid#2: Still sick now despite being treated for years but doing better (not well yet).
Kid#3: Generally good but relapsing off/on.
Me: Adv Labs positive 2016 (suspected I passed to my kids)-not as sick as others, mostly battling fatigue and yeast issues (heart/kidney issues resolved)
Treating with herbals now.
