I have been dealing with leg tingling for a while now, maybe a couple of months. It isn’t all day, every day but often enough to be noticeable. Lower leg tingling almost every night when I go to bed.

Yesterday, I started having weird tingling in my, ahem, anal region. I have had it some today as well. I had it a few months ago and it eventually went away. I mentioned it to my chiropractor today and he said it could be from a herniated disc, which has me freaking out. He didn’t seem to think it was that but now I am noticing the leg numbness more. Anyone else? Any recommendations? I’m freaking out a little bit.

Thanks

I have had all that you describe. Have also had tingling and numbness in hands, feet, and face.
For me the anal tingling was more of a buzz or shock type sensation. I have not seen anyone else describe the anal symptom. Makes me feel a bit better that I am not alone, sorry. Since starting antibiotics most of it has gone away. Only rarely do I have a tinge of it. So, I am assuming it was/is related to Lyme & Co.

If you have Lyme, etc, the symptoms are likely due to that rather than a disc issue.

Thank you so much mareish! I’m starting treatments in early February. And yes, it is buzzy/shocking feeling! What a relief that it is likely Lyme and not something more sinister. I had it a few months ago and it just went away on its own. When the chiropractor mentioned herniated disc, I was surprised. He said it more like a possible explanation for the tingling, not what he thought I had.

This disease leads you to research something new every day.

It is not itching. It is a similar feeling to face and extremity tingling/numbness with the added buzzing/shock sensation.

mareish is right. It doesn't itch, at all. It is a buzzing sensation...almost like little zaps. It is weird and unnerving.

My first real Lyme symptom...or rather, first real noticeable Lyme symptom after having a mysterious illness...was tingling in my feet and legs. I was told it could have been a herniated disc + pinched nerves, as well, until it spread to my other leg, and all around my groin.

So yes, it could be. I also got weird little "zaps" going down my legs.
