Is anyone with Lyme detoxing with an ionic footbath? If with AMD's footbath, I would like to know that, too. Whichever, please let me know which one and if you've seen any positive results( labs and/or symptom improvement). I've been using one 2x week, one I bought off of Amazon by Better Health Company. A doctor in my area treating people with Lyme approved this one for someone I know who was his patient. Recently, I've listened to You Tube videos on AMD's detox foot bath, very impressive. I've been using mine for about 6 months. I can't say that I've noticed any improvement in my symptoms, but this doesn't mean I'm not detoxing. But then again, maybe my footbath isn't effective. Also, I've been using a good infrared sauna in my home for about 8 months. I'm chemically sensitive, so I know my detox system/liver is impaired.

princess - are you doing anything to help your liver?

Taking milk thistle seed extract?

I was taking that, but my LLND switched me to Pekana Apo-Hepat after my liver enzymes started to climb during treatment.
I've not had an issue since.
(Of course it could be coincidence)

Yes, I'm taking milk thistle. For sure after I use the sauna. I forget sometimes on off days. I really need to pinpoint what's going on with my detox function. Testing. My allopathic doc will do certain tests I request, but if she doesn't have an account with one of these non insurance covered labs, she probably won't. I've read that you don't want to take supplements that rev up Phase I, if Phase II is the problem and can't detox the chemicals flooding in. That's where the health care professional comes in handy.
I'm sorry you have Lyme, what you've been through. You're fortunate you got right on it. Your chances for recovery are good. Doing anything non abx?

I just started using an AMD ionic footbath, both for me and my 7 year old. I don’t think we’ve been using it long enough to notice any improvements, but my understanding is that it is really beneficial for metal detoxing. My 7 yo just finished up yeast treatment and my LLND said getting rid of metals would be important in keeping the yeast in check. She has major anger issues as a result of her yeast, so I guess we’ll notice if it DOESN’T work. smile

Well, I don't think I got right on it. 14 months - it was definitely chronic and neuro at that time.
many, many symptoms.

I have done Buhner's herbs a few times...first time was prior to diagnosis...I did Buhner's lyme protocol...and then later on, I did some Bart and babesia herbs (Buhner)
For me - they weren't effective...BUT, I am considering adding them back in before I finally wean off abx. (can't hurt)

My babesia protocol also had Artemisinin. And I do take some support herbs/supplements.

Thanks, Jasperilla. Please keep us posted if you and your daughter see any improvement with the AMD foot detox.

Girlie, I get your point but coming from 30 years of being ill with daily symptoms without Lyme focused treatment, 14 months is getting right on it. Your body will be more responsive than mine, not years and years of damage being done and really good treatment solutions(though NOT easy AND definitely expensive)! I say this to encourage you. We must always find silver linings and have hope.
