I did a coffee enema for the first time today at a natural detox place, the coffee was better than organic, it was also "medical grade", whatever that means. ANYWHO, I felt amazing directly after the enema and felt high, not jittery, just happy. Fast forward a few hours later and my body was still excreting candida and bile for a little bit.

Anyway, is it possible that the enema detoxed me too much? I know that it stimulates the body to produce glutathione. My brain fog is worse than before I started, to some degree.

Just wondering about everyone else's experiences with coffee enemas.

To be honest, I just wanted to try it but I don't think I will be doing one ever again- my other detox methods seem to work just as well.

Yes, it's definitely possible. You can buy the "medical grade" coffee (the brand is S. A. Wilson I think probably, or that's one that's commonly used) which is not roasted. I personally prefer just organic though after doing both.

If you *do* try one again, one thing you might try for the brain fog response is actually doing 2 or more coffee enemas about four hours apart. I know that sounds bizarre, but it's sort of like detoxing your detoxing in a cyclical fashion, and sometimes that seems to help clear it up. Just don't even attempt that unless you're also replenishing minerals as you go along though, you don't want to end up with any sort of imbalance esp. potassium.

If your detox methods work well and it's not adding anything it does make sense to go with what works.

While I do agree with JustPiccd, I would urge caution at doing a second detox like that the same day if you are prone to herxing. For some (only some), it can really set off a bad herx instead of helping.

So just be sure to consider it carefully is all.

This is sometimes called "over detoxing" - and it's simply that your detoxing method(s) released more toxins than your body could quickly remove from your blood stream before it started causing other symptoms. That's why, in theory and for many people, doing a second detox may be helpful, and for others it will include a lot more misery.

This is a pretty good article on 'overdetoxing', and you can see, there's a careful balance that we need to maintain between detoxing enough and not enough detoxing:
Herb only treatment for Lyme & Bart ended 12/11 - no active symptoms for 2 yrs -Herb only treatment for Babesia ended 12/12
Had Lyme, Bart, Babs, RMSF, Ehrlichia, Myco, Anaplasmosis, EBV
New set of infections 8/2014 - still treating.
