Anyone here ever had a bad reaction to a Glutathione IV? If so how long did it last? And how do you tell the difference between a good Herx and something damaging you?

I had the glutathione Thursday (it’s Sunday now) and I’ve been feeling really weak, drained, and extra POTSie ever since.

I read that glutathione can mobilize mercury but luckily I don’t seem to have any of the extreme neuro symptoms other than normal POTS lightheadedness.

Went to the ER yesterday, basic labs were normal, and they gave me saline. Have had IV glutathione many times before with no issues.

that's strange. I had many gluthatione IV's, never had an issue. I wish I could point you to something but I can't.

Since you have had them many times before without an issue, I would definitely encourage you to talk to your doctor, because something has changed.

Usually, it's because the glutathione can release too many toxins all at once into the bloodstream - so unless you have recently changed your protocols, or increased your doses, this shouldn't be happening.

I always had trouble with Glut IVs. I just always considered it to be the mercury being moved around. I eventually just stopped them. It wasn't worth the symptoms for me. I started doing coffee enemas for glutathione instead. I think they help your body produce like 10x the regular amount of glut without having to get an IV. It saved me a ton of money. haha. I just always got pretty severe headaches, nausea, upset stomach, extreme depression, fatigue and weakness. But I do suppose that I could have been really toxic, and it just moved around those toxins making me feel bad. Either way, I didn't like it, so I stopped it. Some people it really helps though.
