Well, after 10 months of antibiotics things seem to be headed in the right direction, I hope.

Last summer my CD57 was 12. Kinda low. Now it is 67. Still on the low side but certainly an improvement.

c4a has gone down dramatically to within normal range.

I have been Lyme IgM Positive since the first time I was tested - last February. Bartonella and Ehrlichia were also positive at that time. LLMD has had me retested every 3 months through Igenex for Lyme, Ehrlihiosis, Bartonella. CD57 and c4a are tested at another lab.

Ehrlichia is still positive ... weird, but Lyme Igm is now NEGATIVE.

I realize that many don't trust most of the testing, and with that I will not argue. I have, however, found that the test results every 3 months agree with my symptoms and how I feel.

There are still quite a number of lingering symptoms, and I am by no means my regular self ... but overall things are much better.

Because of the remaining symptoms, the still positive Ehrlichia, and an Indeterminite band 39 Igm, I am not yet ready to jump up and down for joy but it sure feels good to see things moving in a more positive (positive has taken on a more negative meaning since this all began) direction. AND I am finally feeling that there may be reason for hope.

Hang in there everyone. Perhhaps it is possible to lick this stuff.

So are you still taking antibiotics for Ehrlichia and Bartonella?

Even if you have knocked out lyme, the bart/ehrlichia meds can keep the lyme from re-surfacing.

if the test results jibe with your improving symptoms than heck its just a validation that you're moving in the right direction no?

i know Dr. J in DC doesn't do tests except 'safety' labs to ensure you don't keel over from liver failure, but he will treat until symptom free and then give maintenance doses (few days a month) to ensure the little buggers stay down on the carpet.

I don't know what specifically the antibiotics are supposed to be targeting, but I am still taking Biaxin and Amoxicillin. Next LLMD visit is Monday at which time I suspect he will change up meds.

Thanks Rikki1 - I like your first sentence, and as for the second ... it had better ensure the nasty buggers stay KO'd to the carpet!

Nice to hear when folks are improving. It's also good you are able to nail down some things to target with the testing. Hope things continue to improve for you.
