I'm just wondering if people have travelled while sick/treating.

is the potential for jeopardizing your health with native diseases/ food poisoning etc. too much have a risk?

1)Lyme lowers your immune system.

2)Third world countries have diseases your immune system has never delt with before and is difficult even with a properly functioning immune system.

3)The likelyhood of you getting sick is now greater.

4)If you go, Dont drink the tap water. Dont eat food cleaned in the tap water. Only eat cooked food, drink bottled water. Brush teeth with bottled water. No bottled water there?=dont go then.

And...sometimes vaccines are recommended when flying to some countries.

As you know, vaccinations can lower your immune function...and this could allow lyme and co's to flourish.

Yes sorry it was a typo! India.

I’ve been before and don’t feel comfortable going until I know I’m in remission and my immune system has a chance to recover from all of this

I went to Turkey while sick to visit in-laws. Don't think that's technically a developing country, but I got sick the first couple times I went there. I was fine this time -- just the jet lag hit harder. The extra walking and the diversions were actually helpful. I do not drink the water and I'm careful about what I eat. Didn't have to get shots and I wouldn't go if I had to get any.
